Missouri casinos generated $172.4 million in revenue in December, rising 4.6% year-over-year from the $164.8 million generated in December the year prior.
The latest report from the Missouri Gaming Commission shows that Harrah’s Kansas City saw the most significant revenue increase year-over-year in December, rising 18.9% from $14.4 million to $17.7 million. Other double-digit gains were seen by Mark Twain Casino, which rose 16.1% from $2.5 million to $2.9 million, and Horseshoe St. Louis, up 15.9% from $12.4 million to $14.4 million.
Additional casinos that saw revenue rise year-over-year included Century Casino Caruthersville, up 9.4%; St. Jo Frontier Casino, up 6%; and Isle of Capri Boonville, up 5.7%.
Staying relatively stable were Bally’s Kansas City Casino, down 0.6% from $10.62 million to $10.55 million; Hollywood Casino St. Louis, down 0.9% from $22.4 million to $22.2 million; and Century Casino Cape Girardeau, down 0.9% from $6.14 million to $6.08 million.
Statewide, slot revenue rose 5.3% from $139.8 million to $147.2 million, while table games revenue rose 1.6% from $24.8 million to $25.2 million. Hybrid table games, however, saw an 83.4% year-over-year decline in revenue, from $115,337 to $19,183, as only one casino, St. Jo Frontier, offered them in December, compared to two venues the year prior.
