The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on Friday reported revenue from all forms of gaming and fantasy contests during September was $535.8 million, up 5.9% from September 2024.
Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in Grantville led state operators, generating $101.5 million in September, a 23.1% increase compared to September 2024’s $82.5 million. Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia reported revenue of $93.9 million compared to $85.6 million compared to the same time period 2024, an increase of 9.1%. Rivers Casino Philadelphia’s posted $53.1 million, a 4% increase compared to the $51.1 generated in September 2024. That total barely edged out Parx Casino, also in Philadelphia, and its $53 million generated in September, a year-over-year increase of 1.6%.
Revenue from slots in the commonwealth reached $193.9 million, a decrease of 1.5%. Parx Casino led all Pennsylvania operators in slot revenue, generating $28.9 million compared to the $30.2 million reported in September 2024, a decrease of 4.1%. Wind Creek Bethlehem’s revenue from slots reached $21.4 million, a year-over-year drop of 11.5% compared to September 2024’s $24.2 million. Rivers Casino Pittsburgh generated $20.8 million, a year-over-year increase of 0.6% from $20.74 million generated during the same period in 2024.
The PGCB reported igaming revenue of $233.4 million, a 32.1% increase from September 2024. Pennsylvania’s top igaming operators all reported double-digit increases. Hollywood Casino at Penn National generated $87.7 million, an increase of 31% year-over-year. Valley Forge Casino Resort reached igaming revenue of $66.4 million, a jump of 40.8%, and Rivers Casino Philadelphia produced $35.4 million in igaming revenue, an increase of 12.4% year-over-year.
Sports wagering across the state generated $29.7 million based on a handle of $850.5 million that was undoubtedly bolstered by the advent of football season. Valley Forge Casino Resort reported September sports betting revenue of $15.8 million from a handle of $297.5 million. Hollywood Casino at the Meadows in Meadowlands generated revenue of $4.1 million from a handle of $253.5 million. Hollywood Casino Morgantown posted revenue of $2.1 million from a handle of $58.1 million.
