Illinois casinos generated $165.8 million in revenue in October, a 21.2% year-over-year increase from the $136.8 million generated the year prior, boosted by the opening of new casinos.
According to the latest report from the Illinois Gaming Board, Hollywood Joliet Casino, which opened a land-based location in August, experienced the highest revenue increase, at 46.3%, rising from $7.4 million to $10.8 million. Six other casinos saw revenue rise in the double-digits, with Walker’s Bluff casino seeing a 26.6% increase from $2.4 million to $3.1 million.
The highest revenue was recorded by Rivers Casino, which generated $43.2 million, a 2.5% rise from the $42.1 million generated in October 2024. Wind Creek Casino, which opened in November 2024, generated the second-highest revenue in October of $17.3 million.
DraftKings at Casino Queen experienced the most significant revenue decline, with an 8.8% decrease from $7.2 million to $6.5 million. Harrah’s Joliet also saw a decrease in revenue, from $9.4 million to $8.8 million.
Statewide, table games revenue saw a 20.2% year-over-year increase from $32.8 million to $39.4 million, with slot revenue increasing 21.5% from just less than $104 million to $126.4 million.
