Nebraska’s commercial casinos reported $21.3 million in revenue last month, rising from the previous year’s figure of $9.2 million and representing a year-over-year increase of 132.6%, boosted by casino expansions
The figures, published by the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission, show that of the state’s four casinos, WarHorse Casino Omaha, which opened a large expansion in April, generated the highest revenue for the month, reporting $8 million in revenue, a 14,010.8% compared to the same month last year when only wagers on sports betting were accepted.
Each of the other three casinos also reported year-over-year revenue increases for July.
WarHouse Casino Lincoln rose from $4.3 million to $6.6 million, a 52.4% year-over-year increase. Grand Island Casino & Resort increased 62.1% year-over-year from $2.8 million to $4.5 million. Harrah’s Columbus Racing & Casino saw revenue grow 9.3% year-over-year, rising from $2 million to $2.2 million.
Electronic gaming devices yielded $18.7 million, up from the previous year’s $1.8 million, a 920.6% increase. Table games generated $2.2 million, rising from $175,532, a year-over-year increase of 1,131.8%.
